A beautiful bronze sculpture depicting the goddess Venus, created after the example of the famous antique marble statue the “Venus of Milo” (around 130 before Christ, now in the Louvre).
Venus is the Roman goddess of love but is also often seen as the symbol of beauty.
This classic sculpture is cast by ‘F. Barbedienne Fondeur’, a well-known foundry from France (in the 19th century).

Marked: ‘F. Barbedienne Fondeur’ with a cast stamp with the text: ‘Reduction Mechanique - A. Collas - Brevete’.
