It was in the first seasons of Miami Vice that James Sonny Crockett and Tubbs drove the magnificent Daytona. Obviously for the needs of the series replicas on Corvette bases were used. Enzo Ferrari was shocked to see a Corvette replica of one of his vehicles bearing the Maranello emblem. He undertook a series of actions against the production until an agreement was finally reached. During one episode of the legendary series Sonny questions a weapons trafficker on the quality of his goods. The dealer does a demonstration on the Daytona which is pulverised within seconds by a Stinger missile. Crockett is horrified but Tubbs saves their cover by expressing his satisfaction and exclaims “SOLD!” with enthusiasm. The production then procures the famous white Testarossa. This vehicle is registered as a classic car in Belgium. This is a model from 1978 produced by Southern Roadcraft in England. Their replicas are famous for the quality of their production and fine engineering on a Jaguar V12 base. The vehicle is presented in the classic Ferrari Rosso on a cream leather interior and fitted with lovely Ferrari rims. The mileage indicates 83.000 km, the vehicle joined the collection of its owner who used it sparingly around 10 years ago. The mechanics are in good condition and work perfectly, the vehicle has recently undergone a large revision at 80.000 km and in the last 2 years: Distribution Spark plugs Coils Electronics box New radiator Usual routine maintenance The Lucas ignition was replaced with an electronic ignition which offers excellent reliability. We note a small leak on the right hand side in the exhaust manifold which is noticeable at slow speed, on a lovely stainless steel double line which gives a wonderful sound. The polyester body is impeccable and presents a lovely paint job (rare signs of wear are visible on the front) The roof is new and the interior is in a very good state of presentation. The tubular chassis as the undercarriage are very healthy and the vehicle is fitted with tyres in good condition. This vehicle can be viewed and retrieved in Brussels, Belgium. It can drive any distance without problems.
