Made of solid beech wood. Natural (unvarnished). The original model of this rack was produced by Richard Nissens Trævarefabrik in the Danish Lanå. Nissen worked together a lot with Jens H. Quistgaard. It is not known who designed this rack. Nissen himself or Quistgaard. Nissen did not like to call himself designer. Nissen's company was acquired around 1990 by the Danish-Swiss Bodum and Bodum then brought this rack on the market under its own name. This is the Bodum edition. Suitable for ten bottles. If desired, five more can go loose on top. The Nissen wine rack is a self-assembly system: the cross connections can be inserted into thicker sticks in four places. Including a few loose sticks. Please see photos. Not signed, but this is a classic Bodum. Measurements: 54.5 x 24 cm. Depth: 28 cm. Condition: Used, rack is in acceptable to good condition. Mild signs of wear/age, including two blue spots of paint. Two of the sticks contain the remains of broken off connection sticks. The cross connections always need to be pushed forward well for optimal firmness. If you want more certainty, they can be fixed permanently with a drop of wood glue.
