French sabre M 1822 for troops of the cavalry.
Back of the blade engraved with manufacturer’s mark
Chamber piece. Heavy, curved blade, with chamfer and hollow base on both sides, good blade, heavy brass hilt with three clamps, leather-covered wooden handle, various acceptance stamps on the obverse side. Heavy steel sheath with two ring ribbons and two movable carrying rings, hallmark on the obverse side of the upper ring with the number "1227", scarred surface.
Very nice sword of the cavalry.
