Because this is a very early chess board, all the chess pieces were made with the greatest care and eye for detail (see the pictures). The chess pieces are also particularly large. Chess pieces are executed n 2 kinds of wood, the most special thing about this set is that the pieces are not in traditional Balinese style, but in 'Staunton style'.
