The most famous project of the Bauhaus designer Christian Dell: the Kaiser Idell line of lighting products, a classic of 20th Century design. The Kaiser Idell lamps, designed by Dell in the 1930s, are produced by Gebr. Kaiser & Co. in Neheim-Hüsten, in Germany.
The collection includes table and floor lamps, adjustable lamps, desk and reading lamps, almost always featuring structures in lacquered metal using black or strong colours.
Series published in the 1936 Kaiser Leuchten catalogue
The first editions of the lamp bear the 'Original JDell' mark, while the subsequent versions bear the 'Origina Kaiser I' mark inside a circle.
The Kaiser Idell vintage lamps are much sought after collection pieces.
The lamp shows the signs of age.
The light bulb is not included in the sale.
