Antique pendulum clock from France, called 'bullseye' (oeil de boeuf), from the period of Napoleon III (1870/80). Ebony finished shaped frame, interior inlaid with mother-of-pearl, glass over dial featuring Roman numerals and with diameter of 25 cm. Very fine and charming, ideal for modern or antique furnishings; it goes well with different types of interior design for private homes, shop windows or public places. Original pendulum and winding key. Mechanical movement on original gong, strikes on the hour and half hour, with 8-day power reserve. The flap at the front opens towards the top and can be firmly held open with a wooden support to wind the clock. Excellently preserved, with very fine age-related patina. Well preserved, in need of servicing to ensure its normal functioning. Dimensions: approx. 62 x 50 x (depth) 13.5 cm
