Gorgeous large glazed earthenware vase, egg-shaped with a fringed neck, finished with gold.
The main decoration is that of birds of paradise (or woodpeckers?) flying between the flowers and the blossoming branches, on a flamed, cream coloured background.
Nice enamel work with embossed golden edges in the compositions.
Vintage work, 1960s.
A sticker with ‘H. BÉQUET QUAREGNON’ and in blind print model number ‘556’ and a ‘G’.
In a generally good condition.
It has a height of 39 cm.
It has a maximum diameter of approx. 23 cm.
