Black Cat is now a cigarette brand that is sold worldwide, but the name originated ​from a modest origin. The original black cat was an ordinary house cat who spend hours curled up in the window of the shop Wardour Street of Don José Joaquin Carreras, well before the beginning of the 20th century. Because the cat was such a familiar face for the passers-by, Don José decided to adopt the cat as part of the image of the company.
