Very rare hand painted porcelain tea set produced in former Czechoslovakia around 1930-1940. Collector’s item. The set includes a tea pot with lid, sugar bowl with cover, milk jug and 4 cups. All tableware pieces have a smiling moon face in relief and are hand-painted. The colours and details are therefor varied and range from pale pink to deep dark pink details. Marked with the logo "man in the moon" Porcelanit J.M. - Made in Czechoslovakia - "Patent J.M. and model number." In very beautiful condition. 1 cup and lid have some signs of craquelure due to age, clearly visible on the photos. The teapot spout is a little damaged, see all photos for the details, they are an addition to the description. Dimensions: Cups: H 4.50 cm - diameter top 4 cm. Teapot: H 12 cm - W 17 cm. Sugar bowl: H 8 cm - W 12 cm. Milk jug: H 7.50 cm - W 10 cm. Will be very carefully packed and shipped with track and trace.
