Colorful Polychrome Earthenware Big Terrine/Bowl: serie Timor by PETRUS REGOUT & CO Maastricht Holland 1836-1880
Petrus Regout founded his glass and pottery factory in Maastricht in 1834 and became one of the most important Dutch table ware producers in the latter half of the 19th century until WWII. Since 1890 the text Made in Holland was added to the factory logo and in 1899 the factory was renamed to Sphinx. In 1959 SPHINX/REGOUT merged with Societe ceramique de Maestricht. The factory stopped production of pottery in 1969.
