Beautiful and rare fifties rustic abstract enamelled stoneware pitcher with 5 matching drinking vases signed and numbered by Yvette Manoy, ceramist from Namur, Walloon capital. The decoration is african tribal style.. Yvette Manoy a.o. in the fifties are renovators of ceramics in the region. Yvette Manoy turns useful pieces in earthenware that she decorates by isolating the different enamel colors with paraffin. The process was used a lot in Vallauris by Roger Capron who uses this technique for the realization of very colorful tiles, with geometric or animal decorations. Very nice set in fine shape from the period!
