An excellent bronze statue of a French privateer Jean Bart, 27cm tall, wearing an elaborate 17th century sailors garment and holding a piece of paper on which is inscribed "Order du Roy, forts ou foibles il faut les battre", in his right hand a sword which is pointing towards the ground, his leg reting on a wood log, most likely representing a piece of a sail mast. On the ground around him lay a barrel with a map on it, two cannon balls and an anchor. The statue rests on a base ornamented with scrolling foliage.
The statue is made of two parts, the torso fits onto the legs seamlessly.
