The Mark II is a sports limousine, which Jaguar released in 1959 as a successor to the Mark I. From 1963, the Jaguar S-type, which in many respects improved the Mark II, was available with a 3.4 L and 3.8 L engine, of which the 3.8 L is the most sought after version with the best performance (fitted with SU HD-8 twin-carburettor). This Jaguar was purchased in 2009 by the previous owner from an 80 year old 'car collector' who had this car in his collection (a local museum). He in turn purchased it 30 years before that from the original owner (a designer who lived in New York and Los Angeles) in the eighties, this man occasionally took the S-type to shows. The previous owner who bought this S-type from the collection decided to fully restore it and spent $69671.41 from 2009 to date (invoices of this restoration process are included), the restoration was performed at Ragtops & Roadsters Premium Restorations Inc. (Perkasie Pennsylvania) specialised in high-end English classic cars.
