Superb and rare Omega hand-wound watch, ref: 2271, dating from 1948 (based on serial number). Steel case measuring 35 mm in diameter (excluding crown) with steel, pressure-fit case back. Wonderful, original, white dial with a beautiful, age-related, uniform patina which is absolutely charming (see the photos taken without the crystal to fully appreciate the quality). Steel logo, mixed markers (wedge-shape and Arabic numerals) in applied steel, leaf hands and seconds dial at 6 o'clock. Domed crown without logo (as was usual in this era) - Generic strap and buckle. Strap length: approx. 24 cm. Prestigious and important, hand-wound movement made by Omega, calibre 30T2PC, in very good working order, checked in June 2019. No original box or papers, sent in a suitable generic box. An extremely elegant and attractive watch, very sought-after by collectors of the brand.
