The figures depicted correspond to figures from the excavations in the cities of ancient Persia, the present-day Iran.
The image on the throne would be King Darius I of Persia, who lived from 522-485 B. C.
The floating image on the top of the plate could be the god Ahura Mazda. (The God of the Good)
The plate is 39 cm in diameter.
