Seeing, photographing and mapping the numerous architectural structures in the area makes it possible, at this point in the investigation, to affirm that the people from Brescia during the Renaissance really liked ceiling panels. In the city and the territory, the panels became a widespread social phenomenon between the first half of the fifteenth and the first quarter of the sixteenth century. It was a fashion that combined usefulness and beauty. After all, the large rooms of elegant houses needed effective coverage. The system of alternating wooden beams showed high standards of stability and safety. Skilled carpenters and bricklayers would build structures. The panels were made separately in crafts shops and later skilfully placed in the appropriate slots.
