ONE OF THE MOST RARE AND MOST BEAUTIFUL DAGGERS OF THE THIRD REICH!!! Beautiful TENO (‘Technische Nothilfe’) dagger for leaders. 1938 model. The dagger for leaders of the ‘Technische Nothilfe’ (Technical Emergency Corps), M1938, was introduced for officers from the rank of chief of staff and above. Manufacturer: Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. The total length is approx. 42.8 cm, the blade (without grip) is approx. 27.5 cm. The amber-coloured grip is made of plastic. Round pommel with the TENO cog wheel emblem with 15 cogs, as it should be. It has a silver-plated cross guard in the form of an imperial eagle, holding in its talons the TENO wreath with the swastika and the TENO ‘TN’ characters. The ‘small’ TENO wreath in the swastika also has 15 cogs. Exquisitely executed! Smooth steel blade with deep and neatly etched weapon/series number ‘1823’, the same number is also on the scabbard. On the back is the double manufacturer’s logo: ‘Original Carl Eickhorn, Solingen’. Above the manufacturer's logo is the TENO eagle and ‘GES. GESCH.’ The blade is highly polished with a needle point. The silver-plated, punch-marked scabbard is stamped with the same weapon (series) number ‘1823’. The pommel, cross guard and scabbard have an exquisite dark patina. The blade fits perfectly in the scabbard. The dagger is completely sound with nothing loose! Hardly ever worn, in a very good condition. A very rare piece for any reputable collection!
