Unique and very rare item. Rosenthal Isolatoren GmbH (RIG) was founded in 1939 with branches in Erkersreuth (Selb) and Henningsdorf near Berlin. The name changed to Rosenthal Porzellan AG in 1939. This porcelain isolator was probably used to pour 'schnapps'. A danger sign at the front with the text: Vorsicht! Hochspannung! 'Rosenthal RIG' on the back. Comes with 4 small isolators - to be used as shot glass or egg cup - with the text 'RIG Vorsicht Hochspannung' in old German. And 3 small isolators - same use - with gold rim and text: 'Vorsicht! Hochspannung! - RIG - Rosenthal SELB' The large 'isolator' is 25.5 cm (33 cm including spout). Base: 10.7 cm. The small isolators are 4.5 cm (3 x) and 5.5 cm (4 x) high.
