This plate is made by Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland in 1925. Designed by Henri Breetvelt ( 1864 - 1923 ). This designer and master painter became famous especially for his abstract and semi-abstract, often very colourful, compositions on ceramic.
Only a few pottery painters were selected to apply the ceramic designs by Breetvelt on vases and other pottery. This plate is painted by Cornelis Prins (1890 - 1950) who has worked from 1900 until his passing at the factory, with only a few short interruptions at Amphora and Zenith.
The plate has a 26.5 cm diameter and is 5 cm tall.
It is in very good condition, without cracks, chips or repairs.
The piece will be professionally packaged and shipped with registration. Pick-up in Almere, The Netherlands, is also possible.
