This is an original late Artdeco Girard-Perregaux 1791 in great overall condition. The watch is powered by an in-house manually-wound GP 91 movement (signed 91 AE 5384). It is in good condition and holds the time very well for a watch that age. The rectangular 14kt. gold-filled case measures 22mm x 31mm (excluding the crown) and is in very good aesthetic condition. You can see slight signs of wear on the caseback, crystal and lugs. The crown is unsigned. The dial features arabic numerals, train-wheel minute marker, sub-second at 6 o'clock and golden alpha-hands - all in stunning condition. The dial has developed a beautiful uniform patina. The watch comes with a new brown leather strap (18mm). This GP 1791 is a timeless dress watch showcasing the 1950s design language, a rare original piece suited for the collector and watch enthusiast alike.
