With stamp at the bottom.
It used to be filled with rum and handed out to the soldiers.
The contents of a S.R.D. Jug is in most cases 1 English Gallon (4,546 litres)
The contents of these jars had to be divided among 64 people in 1914 and this once a week.
Every soldier was therefore entitled to 7 cl of rum per week and they certainly could not warm up with that.
These jars are very decorative or for the collector.
Height: 33 cm.
Diameter: 18 and 17 cm.
Packaged with great care and shipped by insured mail.
