A very beautiful balance between over the top engineering and good design, this high end BL-91 from Micro Seiki. This is the nicest in the belt-driven BL range. Features a huge, thick platter of 12.2 inches with special alloy bearings which are finished and polished with techniques that are usually reserved for turbojet engines. The engineers from Micro Seiki have developed an exclusive oil bath damping system to support the fully rotating assembly completely isolated form all mechanical resonances. This bearing and huge platter and brushless motor cannot be found on the simpler models like the BL-51/BL-71/BL-77. A carefully sharpened drive belt connects the rotating part to the brushless, servo-controlled motor with full insulation of the vibrations generated by the motor. In fact, the BL-91 (L) is probably the smoothest, most vibration-free device ever built of its kind. European 220 / 230v model.
