This gorgeous fruit bowl on a black tripod base by Alessi was designed by Philippe Starck in 1996. This design is no longer in production thus making it a collector's item.
This fruit bowl is in excellent condition with a few minuscule signs of wear.

Philippe Starck:
Born in Paris in 1949, he is one of the most original and creative designers of our time. He has received many important awards such as the 'Grand Prix National de la Creation Industrielle' and the 'Award of Honour' from the American Institute of Architects. He considers himself to be "a Japanese architect, an American art director, a German industrial designer, a French artistic director, an Italian furniture designer".
