A Flemish Renaissance oak cupboard. Creation period - first half 17th century. The moulded and leaf-carved cornice centred on a foliate-incised label over a recessed compartment with three patera-carved panelled doors within balusters, the base with a gadrooned two-drawer cushion frieze above a pair of panelled doors carved with cartouches and separated by pilasters carved with terms and foliage. A strong Low Countries mannerist design reminiscent of the traditional Dutch "beeldenkast". Nice patina of oak in honey colour. Minor additions and repairs. The upper right door is latched, no key.
