This gorgeous Alhambra vase is in outstanding condition and is characteristic with its wonderful handles (wings). These Alhambra vases are by all means the apex of the lustre pottery production from Al-Andalus. The vase shape with the two wing-like handles was already made in Spain during the Almohad Caliphate period (12th century). The vase is typical with its decorative hand painting. The vase is made in the Arab-Spanish style and is recognisable due to its Arab painting and the magnificent handles. Only a few copies are left worldwide. Dimensions: It is 43 cm tall.
