Pair of antique, original wooden Swiss skis, with original willow wooden ski poles from +/- 1904. All bindings are made entirely of leather and of the type Balata also called Gotthard ski bindings (source; SKI Bindung Historical Holz Museum, see last 2 photos). The ski poles are made of willow wood,with leather hand straps, the spikes to the underside of the sticks are made of metal. The early leather ski bindings make the wooden skis very decorative. Dimensions; The skis are 158 cm long & 7cm wide, the ski poles are 104 cm long. Condition; The skis and ski poles are in good, used condition at the leather straps of the ski bindings there are a few pieces off, all with weathering and wear that is age and use related.
