Wonderful and large, detailed and hand painted sculpture by the Capodimonte factory. It depicts an older gentleman and an older lady playing chess. The piece is in good condition and has lovely details.
It is large: 23 x 25 x 17 cm.
Porcelain from Capodimonte, later Naples, is made of a superior, transparent soft clay. A lot more beautiful, though more difficult to fire, than the German hard porcelain. The Capodimonte logo was a a fleur de lis in blue or embossed in a circle.
The piece will be adequately packaged and will be shipped worldwide. The sculpture can also be picked-up in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
