Very nice double inkwell in silver plated spelter and gilt for the eagle, French work, circa 1880.
The bird holding a worm in its beak is also a pocket watch holder.
The base is in black and dark green marble with white veining.
Beautiful marble condition, a slight shock (lack) at a rear corner.
The base is in natural silver colour spelter, the pedestal and the eagle are gilt (rubbing without gravity), no shock.
With 3 original holes in the base, a pencil box is probably missing.
The inkwells are functional and their hinges are in good condition. No glass containers.
Very nice dimensions:
Height: 21 cm
Width: 28 cm
Depth: 16 cm
Weight without sturdy and secure packaging: 4.370 kg
