Large bas-relief, made of polychrome glazed ceramic, depicting a Madonna with Child, made by ceramists Walter Bartoli and Adelmo Cornacchia working in Brisighella, in the province of Ravenna.
This Madonna with Child, a large-sized work, echoes the Renaissance models (16th century) in the use of monochrome for the subjects, while the background and haloes show vivid colours.
The bas-relief was made in 1981, the company Bartoli e Cornacchia was in business from 1957 to 2003.
The bas-relief is in excellent condition and the colours are very sharp and bright (see the pictures).
