An exclusive piece: very rare Fortis Flieger Alarm - automatic chronograph 'assigned' model from 2011 - to clarify, the Fortis reference 599.10.170 was sold in 2 different designs, both with the same reference number: one for general sale with a glass case back, engraved with a water-resistance of 50 m (same as the newest ones) and then another, designed exclusively for military use, with a screw-on case back, engraved with a water-resistance of 100 m, rather than 50 (this second design is the one on offer here). Furthermore, the assigned military version of this watch had a limited production of only 2000 pieces, each with an individual assigned number that can be seen on the bottom of the case at 6 o'clock (see photo). It has a 25 second alarm, recharges as you wear it or by turning the chronograph crown and orange broad arrow sphere 5 times, has triple resistant sapphire glass and pump-action buttons, 2 for the chronograph and one to operate the alarm at 8 o'clock. Chronograph with automatic movement and alarm - a simply marvellous and exclusive piece. A very expensive piece to purchase new - at its launch it was listed for more than €5,000. Very few of the 2,000 limited edition 100 m military assigned watches were produced for sale, making them very difficult to find. This is one of the last with progressive numbering - 192... In pristine condition. The leather strap and buckle are both original Fortis - never worn and kept preserved in the box. 2 NATO straps - one blue, one green.
