Louis Kalff (1897-1976) has designed many iconic lamps for Philips. This design dates back to the 1950s with the model name 'senior'. In the shade, the shape of a ufo is clearly recognizable so that this lamp is often also referred to by the model name 'Ufo'. The lamp-shade is made out of aluminium, the interior has a light colour to enhance the reflection of the light. The base and shade are matt turquoise green lacquered, which forms a nice combination with the black lacquer of the stand. The perforations in the hood create a special light effect. In addition to being a designer, Louis Kalff was also the architect of the Philips exhibition centre 'Evoluon' which was realized in Eindhoven in 1966. The design of this building is very similar to the design of this lamp. Dimensions: H 50 cm Shade Ø 40 cm. Base Ø 18 cm. This lamp will be well packaged and sent by insured mail with track and trace.
