Two plant hangers or ‘keramobilen’ by Jaap Ravelli.
Both are in perfect condition. Without chips.
The spheres have a 20 cm diameter.
The orange one is signed ‘Ravelli’ on the bottom, the green one has a ceramic bottom and is signed ‘J’.
Brothers Dick and Jaap founded Aardewerk Ravelli in 1944. The company gained an international reputation with their high quality and very characteristic pottery utensils, varying from ashtrays to garden pottery.Black and white vases to ‘keramobilen’ (hanging spheres for houseplants) and from plastic animals to interior wall tiles. Ceramics by Jaap Ravelli belong without a doubt to the most recognisable in Dutch ceramic history of the 20th century.
