Egon Schiele (12 June 1890 - 31 October 1918) was an Austrian painter. Schiele was a protégé of Gustav Klimt and an important figurative painter of the early 20th century. His work is renowned for its intensity and raw sexuality, and also for the many self-portraits. The twisted body shapes and the expressive line that characterised Schiele’s work, mark the artist as an early exponent of expressionism.
The printing process is of the highest quality and is almost comparable to the original. Today, there are only three publishing houses in the world that apply this. The colour image is split up - from light to dark - into maximum of 25 colours and then printed on top of each other in as many print cycles. This technique was mainly used in small editions.
These reproductions will be sent professionally packed between two pressed plates and insured with track and trace code.
