The angel Gabriel visits Mary, as described in the Gospel of Luke. At the top of the painting, God the Father is looking down from heaven and the holy spirit, depicted as a dove, descends on Mary. They are surrounded by cherubim and putti. Gabriel points upwards because he has come to bring a message from God.
Overall in fair condition, craquelures, old lining.
