The Multiplor storage box was designed in 1977 by the historical founder of Rexite: Mr Rino Pirovano. Pirovano was playing with one of Rexite's very first products, a small round table ashtray. He stacked a few of them and thought of making a hole to keep them together, the Multiplor was born! Due to the routing action of the Multiplor, this object can take countless different shapes. Which makes it an extraordinary and unique design object. In addition, the Multiplor is practical and technically ingenious. He founded the company together with Rino Boschet in 1968 in Milan. The company started as a subcontractor of precision mechanics. In the 1970s Pirovano wanted to focus more on design objects.
