Bodegas y Viñedos Alión is the fruit of various experiences that Bodegas Vega Sicilia had been developing since the mid-eighties, and its first wine came onto the market in 1991. Alión has almost 100 hectares of vineyards, all of them of the Tempranillo or red variety. Fino, almost all planted in glass except 12 hectares that are espaliered. Around 20% of the vines are more than twenty years old, and go entirely into winemaking.
