【Product details】
Immerse yourself in the Edo period's artistic tradition with this meticulously decorated inro. The scene features pine trees, a quaint village, and two figures, brought to life through the ancient art of maki-e, where gold or silver powder is sprinkled onto lacquer to create intricate designs. The interior showcases a nashiji, or pear skin finish, adding a subtle texture and luster.
This inro shows signs of its history and use, with surface wear, minor scratches, stains, and some lacquer loss, alongside a developed patina that enriches its historical value. Please refer to the photographs for a detailed view of its current condition and the graceful aging that narrates its storied past.
