Akita Inu (Japanese: Akita Inu/あきたいぬ/アキタイヌ Akita Inu*), also known as "Odate Inu", is a type of Japanese dog and the only large dog breed among the six Japanese dog breeds that are national natural monuments. In Japan, sending statues and pictures of Akita dogs means "wishing you a speedy recovery." In Japan, it is a family pet dog known for its loyalty to its owner. Japan's famous loyal dog Hachiko is the Akita dog.
Monkeys are close relatives of humans. In ancient Egypt and ancient China, monkeys were regarded as sacred and mysterious animals, and the same is true in Japan. In Japanese, the pronunciation of "monkey" is the same as "出る" (to remove, disappear, leave), which means "disaster い が 去 る" (disaster), "disease が 去 る" (disease). There are also some shrines that have revered monkeys as messengers of gods since ancient times. In the courtyard of Hie Shrine in Akasaka, Tokyo, there is a statue of a sacred monkey named "まさる"
