Matured in ex-sherry casks and offered as one of two special edition releases launched in 2011, the Macallan The 1700 Series Directors Edition Single Malt Scotch is an exceptionally crafted NAS whisky bottled at 40% ABV (80-proof).
Discontinued in 2012 - this rare and highly collectible bottling opens with aromatic sweet sherry, dark fruits, caramel, and vanilla. The palate beautifully mirrors the nose - light sherry with layers of ripe fruits, caramel, vanilla, and a subtle hint of roasted nuts.
A lovely addition to any Macallan collection, the 1700 Series Directors Edition finishes long with pops of citrus, caramel, and spiced wood.
