Riesige und sehr seltene Statuette der Göttin Thoeris mit der Sa-Schleife Die Statuette aus grüner Fayence stellt die Göttin Thoeris (ägyptisch Taweret) in aufrechtstehender Haltung dar. In ihrer Gestalt sind drei gefährliche Tiere Ägyptens vereint. Sie wird mit dem Kopf und Körper des Nilpferds und schwer herabhängenden Brüsten, dem Schwanz des Krokodils und den Tatzen eines Löwen dargestellt. Ein angedeuteter Kalathos überkrönt ihr Haupt und vor ihren Beinen lehnt die hieroglyphische Sa-Schleife als magisches Schutzsymbol. Three dangerous Egyptian animals are united in her figure. She is depicted with the head and body of the hippopotamus and heavy hanging breasts, the tail of the crocodile and the paws of a lion.
