Born February 9, 1868, as the third child of Shiou Magohachi, a paper merchant from Hosen-machi, he was adopted at a young age by the eighth Mizuno Genroku. Jisaburō's formative years were marked by academic prowess, leading him to study under Mochizuki Gyokusen at the Kyoto Prefecture School of Painting, thanks to a scholarship from the Kanazawa district. After graduating in November 1885, he returned to Kanazawa, dedicating himself to the family craft and succeeding as the ninth Mizuno Genroku upon his predecessor's passing in 1895, until his own death in 1938. This exquisite bronze sculpture of Mount Fuji, created by the ninth generation Genroku, embodies the timeless beauty and cultural significance of Japan's iconic peak.
