椿之裡、羽根間林 - 木 - Miyashita, Hajime - 日本 - 平成時期(1989年至今)

First, let me introduce the Kokeshi doll with a floral pattern. This one is titled 'Tsubaki no Sato/椿の里,' meaning 'Village of Camellias,' reflecting the camellia patterns on its kimono. It's 18.3x6.5cm though it may feel somewhat petite when held. The second one features a Kokeshi doll wearing a kimono with vertical stripes. The title is 'Hanekonma/はねこんま' which refers to a tomboyish girl. So, 'Hanekonma-orin/はねこんまおりん' means 'Tomboy Orin.' This is the main character of a drama that aired in Japan in 1986, based on a female journalist who was active during the Meiji to Taisho period. She was born in Fukushima Prefecture, studied at a girls' school in Sendai City, and became a newspaper journalist who converted to Dutch Protestantism. They were created by Miyashita Hajime (宮下はじめ), an artist who has won numerous awards, including the Prime Minister's Award. His name and seal are stamped on each wooden tag. [ADDITONAL COSTS] VAT, tariffs, and customs fees are not included in the bid price. They will be charged separately, typically by the courier, so please be mindful of this. [CONDITION] Tsubaki-no-Sato: There is a scratch on the back left side of the head. The exposed wood on the top of the head seems to result from uneven painting. Hanekonma-orin: There are small scratches on the backside of the head and the right back of the body. [SHIPPING] Shipping from Japan via DHL or Japan Post. EU businesses require an EORI number.
