This Technics SL-Q5 Quartz Direct Drive Automatic Turntable System is like new and comes in the original box. It’s fully functional and nearly impossible to find in this exceptional condition. It had only one previous owner and was very well maintained. The turntable has a Quartz-locked brushless DC motor and is fully automatic. It’s a lineair tracking turntable and it comes with a Technics T4P element and P30 needle in solid condition. The SL-Q5 is operated by using the buttons on the front. The turntable automatically recognizes a 12” or 7” record and moves and lowers the tonearm accordingly. 7” records are automatically played at 45rpm, while 12” records are automatically played at 33rpm. Speed (rpm) selection (33/45) can also be done manually by using the switch right above the start and stop buttons. Track selection is done by moving the tone-arm through holding and releasing the start button. There is also a cueing functionality, and a repeat functionality which when activated will automatically play the record again after ending. The casing is in excellent condition, with minimal marks on the sides as can be seen on photos 4 & 5. The dustcover is in clear and clean shape and only shows light signs of usage. The turntable comes with power cable, audio cable, grounding cable, and the original anti-static matt and rotatable 7” adapter. Also included is the original Technics box with original transportation screws and protective materials. A printed photocopy of the SL-Q5 service manual is also included. The turntable will be very carefully packaged with all loose parts secured. The original transportation screws will be used to secure the base. The turntable will be placed in it’s original box, which will be shipped in a larger strong shipping-box. Multiple layers of bubble foam, airbags and other protective materials will be added for extra security.
