Here we have a stunning early 19th Century watercolour by Pompeii Mariani (1857-1927). The painting features a 3/4 length portrait of a baby possibly a monogram bottom right. Housed in an Italian carved gilt wood frame with raised leaf and scroll decoration, watercolour 14.5cm x 9cm, frame 45 cm high x 36cm wide. A wonderful piece of artwork which would grace any wall in your home. Provenance there is a studio stamp and signed by the artist P Mariani verso see photo. In excellent condition for its age.
