Gewürztraminer, or aromatic traminer if you prefer, is a grape variety that all wine enthusiasts now know. Appreciated because it is capable of producing particularly aromatic and intense wines both in aroma and taste, it is a vineyard variety, that of gewürztraminer, which when it encounters the most congenial habitats, such as the lands of Alto Adige, comes to express truly interesting labels , like the Santa Margherita Gewürztraminer. Produced on the Kettmeir estate, owned since 1986 by the wine group founded by Count Gaetano Marzotto, it is a Gewürztraminer, the one that comes out of the Caldaro cellar, which does not disappoint expectations. Vinified in steel with a short maceration on the skins, it is to be combined with spicy preparations and ethnic cuisine recipes, to find a combination of sure charm. Really excellent. Straw yellow color, clear and bright to the eye. The nose is intense and aromatic, initially opened by hints of rose petals, then immediately characterized by hints of tropical fruit, to which light memories of sweet spices are finally added. The sip is full-bodied and dynamic, consistent with the sense of smell, fresh and tasty, with a long persistence.
