It was born from an intuition of Mario Incisa della Rochetta who wanted to fulfill his dream of creating a wine like the greats of Bordeaux, therefore he decided to plant Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards on his property, Tenuta San Guido. Sassicaia Tenuta San Guido has become the symbol of the great quality of Italian wine production also thanks to Giacomo Tachis, the estate's winemaker, who was able to make it great and famous throughout the world.
