This is a phenominal fossil, the leaf has been partially bug-eaten - it was a meal for an insect 17 million year ago! The striking leaf has great color and detail. The venation of the leaf is easily seen, and the petiole (stem) is long and complete down to the the branch attachment point. This is an extremely collectible and displayable fossil leaf from the upper middle Miocene of Burtenbach, Germany Rare locality. 100% natural. Plate is 8,2 x 4,9 cm Rare.
