Neon Genesis Evangelion "Rei, Beyond the Heart" Eva Unit 00 Production Cel (Gainax, c. 1995-96). "We have lost control of Unit 00!" "Abort the test! Cut the power feed!" During a revealing flashback sequence, Rei Ayanami sustains serious injuries when Unit 00 goes berserk during a systems test at NERV headquarters. Seen at the 2:52 mark of the episode "Rei, Beyond the Heart," this is a terrific hand-painted original production cel featuring a rare image of Unit 00 in its original orange colorization before the switch to blue. The image measures a substantial 8.5" x 7.5" on the 12 field cel. Numbered B13 in the upper right corner, the cel shows minor handling and edge wear, and the condition is Very Good. Unique piece. Very scarce and rare. Theses works belongs to the process of creating one the sequences of one episode of the famous cartoon serie.
