How often do you come across something like this? Thé rare and really difficult to find US ARMY RECIPE Book from 1944 for army cooks and field kitchens close to the front lines. The unique thing is that this book is named to Dad Kun Lee, with service number 30113608, who enlisted in 1944. He was of CHINESE american descent and was born in Hawaii. It lists a very large amount of recipes and drinks (coffee, and so forth) that would be prepared for the US soldiers! An unique insight into the food provided to US soldiers at the front lines. In really field-used condition, this manual was certainly issued during WW2. The first page is loose, and some pages are a bit fragile (see attached photo's as they are part of the description!), but complete. The book is nicely named on the cover to These would have been the ones used by Army cooks in the winter of 1944 and afterwards.
